Or in a browser

You can always join a wedding again with a new invite.
If you own a wedding
A wedding has other people’s replies, photos and messages in it, so it’s never deleted with your account. First, in the Sparkle dashboard on the web, do one of these:
- Make a co-host, such as your partner or planner, its owner: Team › Make owner.
- Or delete the wedding for everyone: Wedding details › Danger zone › Delete this wedding. Download the photos and the guestbook first if you want to keep them.
Until then, Sparkle tells you your account owns a wedding.
What’s deleted
Your sign-in and email address, the record of the terms you accepted, and your planner profile, if you have one.
And at every wedding you’ve joined:
- your RSVP and replies
- photos
- guestbook lines and voice notes
- song requests
- your table and check-in
- your location, if you were sharing it, and the address we send your notifications to
- the people you’ve blocked, what you’ve reported, and the couple’s copy of any report about you
What’s kept
The invitation the couple wrote for you. The couple keep it, with your name and any email address they added: ask them to change or delete it.
What you set up as a host. If you co-hosted or planned a wedding, what you set up for it stays with the wedding: its order of the day, pages, messages and any “Planned by” credit, and its record of which account created it, by id. Replies you recorded for guests stay too, marked as recorded by the couple rather than by you.
Reports. Sparkle’s own record of a report you made, or one made about you, is kept for a year from when it was made. It names accounts only by their ids.
Payments. What was bought for a wedding stays with that wedding, for our accounts, with nothing that names you. Stripe, which took the card payment, keeps its own record.
Notes the couple saw. Activity notes such as “Olivia is coming” clear on their own within 90 days.
Copies other people saved. A photo someone has already saved to their phone or downloaded stays with them, and a guestbook the couple have downloaded keeps your lines and voice notes.
Logs and backups. Our server logs are deleted after 30 days, and deleted data leaves our backups within 35 days.
Can’t sign in?
If you can’t sign in any more, in the app or a browser, email hello@sparkle.wedding from the address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We’ll delete it, and everything you added, for you. If you own a wedding, hand it over or delete it first, as above.
