What is “How did you hear about Sparkle?” for?
It’s an optional question as you set up a wedding, if you’re not yet a guest, helper or host at another. It helps us know which ways of finding couples work.
Updated
Step by step
When you set up a wedding before you’re part of any other, the form asks “How did you hear about Sparkle? (optional)”.
Choose the answer that fits: “A wedding planner or venue”, “A friend”, “Social media”, “Searching online”, “A wedding fair” or “Somewhere else”. For “Social media”, “Which one? (optional)” follows.
To skip it, leave it on “Choose one”. Either way, choose “Create our wedding” as usual.
Good to know
What it’s for: to know which ways of finding couples work. It goes with your payments to Stripe.
Sparkle sees it, never your guests. It’s kept until the wedding is deleted, and with the payment records in Stripe.
It isn’t a partner code, and changes nothing you pay. Choosing “A wedding planner or venue” doesn’t say which one: if yours gave you a partner code, add it when you buy.
Once you’re part of a wedding, even as a guest or helper, a new one starts from “Plan another wedding”, which doesn’t ask. There’s nowhere to change your answer afterwards.
